How the system works

One Permanent Frame. Unlimited Campaign Changes.

The frame stays mounted to the vehicle. Only the printed panel changes.

Permanent hardware

Anodized-Aluminum Frame

Mounted once and engineered for long-term service on working fleet vehicles.

  • Spring-loaded edges open on all four sides
  • Multiple sizes for different vehicle bodies
  • Rivet or bolt mounting based on fitment
  • Vehicle-specific fitment reviewed before quoting

Replaceable graphic

Interchangeable Printed Panel

A durable outdoor panel that can be replaced whenever the department's message changes.

  • Changed by authorized customer personnel
  • Typical outdoor life of approximately 5–7 years, depending on conditions
  • Reordered without remeasuring an existing Roadway frame
  • Suitable for recurring, seasonal, and program-specific campaigns

The frame is permanent. The message is replaceable.

The 30-second change

Under 30 seconds

Change the Message Between Routes.

Once the replacement panel is at the yard, an authorized crew member can change the display in under approximately 30 seconds.

  1. 01

    Open the spring-loaded frame.

  2. 02

    Remove the existing panel.

  3. 03

    Insert the replacement panel.

  4. 04

Close the frame and return the vehicle to service.

No rewrap. No scheduled vendor visit. No routine vehicle downtime.

No special tools are required. For frequent changes, Roadway's optional opening tool can make the process even easier.

Why municipalities use it

Turn Fleet Messaging Into a Repeatable Program.

The permanent frame remains installed while new campaign panels are ordered as needed.

Authorized municipal personnel can replace panels at the yard without scheduling outside graphics labor.

Use the same fleet for organics rollouts, recycling education, collection notices, seasonal programs, public events, and other resident communications.

Frame dimensions and approved artwork can remain on file, making replacement-panel orders simpler and more predictable.

Roadway Quick-Change System

  • Permanent frame remains installed
  • Municipal crews can replace panels
  • Routine changes happen at the fleet yard
  • Only the printed panel is replaced
  • Seasonal and short-term campaigns become practical

Actual project costs depend on fleet size, frame configuration, vehicle body, panel size, installation requirements, and artwork needs. Roadway can prepare budgetary pricing for early-stage planning.
